🎓 Melissa Martinez: Making Strides in Pediatric Oncology

🏆 Recent Accomplishment

Melissa has been volunteering at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, specifically in the oncology building, where she works closely with nurses and patients.

🛣️ Journey to Achievement

To secure this volunteer position, Melissa underwent a series of physical exams, specialized training, and an interview process.

💡 Personal Significance

For Melissa, this experience is a stepping stone towards her ultimate goal: attending medical school with a specialization in pediatric oncology.


🎓 Diego Guerrero: A New Chapter at UM Miller School of Medicine

🏆 Recent Accomplishment

Diego has recently been hired as a Full-Time Donor Referral Responder (DRR) by the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He will be working with their Life Alliance Organ Recovery Agency (LAORA) within the Department of Surgery.

🛣️ Journey to Achievement

After two years at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, Diego began exploring other medical field opportunities. A chance meeting with another DRR led him to this new role. Months later, he was encouraged to apply for an opening and successfully secured the position after an interview.

💡 Personal Significance

Diego is thrilled about this new chapter in his career. He looks forward to gaining a deeper understanding of the medical field and the organ donation process. This role holds special meaning for him as it allows him to contribute to saving lives by facilitating organ donations.
