🎓 Who Are Group Discussion Peer Leaders?

Group Discussion Peer Leaders (GDPLs) are the elite among Peer Leaders, handpicked for their exceptional skills in content mastery and pedagogical techniques. With a minimum of six semesters of leadership and/or supervisory experience, GDPLs are the seasoned veterans of the PLTL program.

📚 Role & Responsibilities

GDPLs serve as Learning Specialists within the PLTL framework. Their primary role is to:

  • Conduct weekly Group Discussions (GDs)
  • Train and mentor Peer Leaders (PLs)
  • Ensure the quality and effectiveness of PLTL sessions

🎯 Training & Development

📅 Pre-Semester Training

GDPLs undergo specialized training at the beginning of each semester to prepare for their elevated role. This training is designed to hone their leadership and pedagogical skills.

📈 Professional Development Workshops

In addition to their initial training, GDPLs participate in ongoing professional development workshops throughout the semester. These workshops focus on:
