GivePulse (FIU Honors)

🎓 Fulfill Your Honors College GivePulse Requirement with PLTL! 🕒

Good news for FIU Honors College students!

If you’re volunteering as a PLTL Peer Leader or GD Leader, the hours you accumulate can be counted towards your GivePulse requirement for graduation or a recognition award.

Here’s how:

Steps to Record Your PLTL Hours in GivePulse:

1️⃣ Accumulate Hours: Wait until you think you have accumulated the required number of hours. For the fall or spring semesters, PLTL leaders generally accumulate about 50 hours, which exceeds the standard 20-hour GivePulse requirement. Note that the required number of hours may vary depending on the semester.

2️⃣ Complete the Inquiry Form: Once you believe you’ve met your hour requirement, fill out the inquiry form. Make sure to select “Hours of Certification” as the inquiry category.

3️⃣ Specify in Email: When completing the form, mention that this is also for GivePulse hours.

4️⃣ Submit and Verify: After you receive your hour verification, submit it through the GivePulse platform and list “PLTL” as the verifier, along with your GD leader. Please inform your GD leader about this so they can escalate it to the staff if there’s no reply after the form is completed and some time has passed.

🔔 Note:

If this is your first semester and you have not accumulated any hours before this semester, you must wait till the end of the term to request the hours of certification letter. This is because we only grant hours to leaders who have successfully completed the term.
